Solutionreach Success Week – Reduce No-Shows and Cancellations

    Solutionreach recently hosted Success Week—a series of four webinars aimed at helping Solutionreach customers improve their practices by increasing appointments, attracting more patients, and reducing no-shows. We are sharing those webinars with you here. 

    The webinars are presented by experts from the team at the forefront of researching and developing these best practices and who are experienced in training new and existing Solutionreach customers. The experts shared insights and tips that can be easily implemented to help grow your practice. We don’t want you to miss out on any of this information, so we recapped the highlights below. Aaron Hall and Susie Norman, both experts from the Solutionreach customer success team, gave some great advice about why it’s important to minimize no-shows and offered some solutions to help your practice.     • Depending on your specialty, no-show rates vary from 10 percent to 30 percent of all scheduled appointments. That cost can quickly add up to anywhere from $40,000 to $100,000 per year per provider. Using patient relationship management (PRM) software, you can automate appointment reminders, and reduce your no-show rate drastically.
    • A clear cancellation policy with an attached consequence for missed appointments can reduce the amount of no-shows and give you more time to fill openings due to cancellations. If your staff is trained on the policy and it is effectively communicated to your patients, they will likely think twice before missing an appointment.
    • Set up effective appointment reminders through your PRM software to ensure every patient is reminded of every appointment. Encourage patients to text your practice, but also give them the option to indicate their preferred method of communication. Follow up with all unconfirmed appointments at the beginning of each day.
    • Use tools like two-way texting and online scheduling to make it easier for your patients to make and keep appointments.
