Helping Contribute to Achieving a World Without Blood Cancers
What a success!
We want to give a huge shout out to everyone who showed up last Saturday (the 14th) to attend this year’s SolutionRun as we raised money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS.) The support and participation (whether through running, walking, volunteering, and/or donating) was truly an awesome experience to be a part of.
We especially want to express our gratitude to all those who got up at the crack of dawn to volunteer. You helped make it a great experience for everyone involved. We know that 6:00 am comes early on a Saturday, so thank you!
Solutionreach employees had decided before race-day how much sweat they were willing to sacrifice, selecting from:
Open Course Participation
They arrived with family, friends, strollers, and/or dogs in tow—there was even a Kids’ Fun Run!
Everyone was donned in shirts that commanded, You Shall Not Pass on their backs: Solutionaries in bright blue, friends and family in bright green.
It was inspiring to watch everyone gearing up; regardless of age, health, or endurance, every participant rocked it!
Even Solutionreach employees that were travelling for business or who are located outside of Utah were able to participate and earn miles.
Other engaging and fun activities included face painting, balloon animals, rockets, and a raffle.
All accompanied, of course, by plenty of friendly banter and horseplay.
The weather couldn’t have been more perfect or the cause more worthy. Charlotte, a sponsored patient from LLS, even arrived as an honorary Solutionary and moved us with her sweet strength.
Solutionreach donated generously for every mile run, walked or crawled (even our volunteer bikers earned miles!) We are honored to support LLS with our contributions, as they continue to strive to meet their goal of achieving a world without blood cancers.
Here is what some Solutionaries had to say about this inspirational day:
“My 5 year old grandson completed the 5k! He loved it!”
“I brought my niece to volunteer with me and she decided to sign up for the 5K last minute. She had a great time and told me that I work for such a cool company. ”
:The SolutionRun was just another amazing reminder of how fortunate I feel to work for this company. The whole area was as full of laughter as it was brightly colored shirts. As I rode my bike around, I was amazed at the energy people had (even when I’m sure their legs were shaky and their lungs were aching.) I had an amazing time, and I’m so proud to be a Solutionary.”
