Solutionreach, the leader in patient relationship management software and a top employer in the Silicon Slopes, announced today that its team members raised over $40,000 in the month of September for the Utah chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS).
The seventh year of the Solutionreach Giving Games looked a bit different in 2020. The month-long event went virtual, but maintained its focus on fun. Just like in years past, the team engaged in activities such as a talent show and executive challenges including “Talk Like a Pirate for a Day.”
Other philanthropic activities were also planned to support additional organizations in Utah. Team members worked with the Women Build group from Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a family in the area, and they were encouraged to participate in a local blood drive.
The Giving Games culminated in a virtual all-company meeting where names were drawn for prizes and the total collected was revealed. Everyone was also encouraged to participate in the virtual “Light the Night” event in support of LLS.
“Our annual month of charity is everyone’s favorite time of year at Solutionreach," said Josh Weiner, president and CEO of Solutionreach. "Even as a virtual event, it's so fun and interactive, and it gives our team a chance to really show how much they care about our community. Many of them have seen the effects of cancer, especially blood cancer, first hand, so everybody want to get involved."
Over the last seven years, Solutionreach and its team members have collectively donated almost $300,000 to LLS through the annual month-long Giving Games competition. This money has been used to support research, education, and cost of care for those in need.
“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Light The Night campaign are proud and honored to continue working with Solutionreach,” said Stacie Kulp, Executive Director – Mountain Region. “They amaze us every year with their creativity, support, and dedication to raising funds to see an end to cancer. This year was no different! They did not let 2020 or the pandemic slow them down! Solutionreach recognized that cancer patients need us now more than ever, and it’s because of their support, teamwork and grit that we are able to continue funding groundbreaking research and provide the much-needed support and education to patients and families in some of the darkest moments of their lives.”
