Kelly Morris, the VP of Marketing for Solutionreach, was awarded by Utah Business as one of Utah’s Top Sales and Marketing Executives. The following article is found in the January issue of Utah Business Magazine. The full write-up can be found here on utahbusiness.com.
In the section of the piece dedicated to Kelly, they say:
Kelly Morris started her marketing career in New York, working with clients like Reebok and Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines. “I learned a lot about working with diverse people and tight timelines—the whole process,” she recalls. “When I moved to Utah, I moved to the high-tech client side and never looked back.”
After stints at Ancestry.com, Gartner and Novell, Morris joined Solutionreach as its vice present of marketing. In that role, she is responsible for all lead generation, branding and overall marketing initiatives. One of Morris’ most profound impacts was driving the launch of the company’s mobile app, which helps connect doctors and patients. “Right now we are connecting with one in every four patients in the U.S.,” she says.
Morris is passionate about trying new strategies and acknowledges that failure can be a good thing. “With groovy new marketing tools and apps coming out all the time, it’s easy to get distracted by the most recent shiny object,” she says. “My team is fortunate that we’re allowed to fail, as long as we fail fast. If we find something we think might work for us, we test it, check the analytics and anecdotal, then iterate.
“It’s all about the objective,” she adds. “Once we know what we’re trying to accomplish, the strategic and tactical plans can come together.”
My out-of-work passion is my family. Whether we are playing Taboo or Mao, doing a 5K, off on an adventure, serving others or binge-watching Bones, we love being together … and there is usually food involved.
